This paint by numbers for adults kit turns a 16 x 20 inch (40 x 50 cm) linen canvas into a palm tree sunset painting you make yourself, one numbered area at a time. Every shape on the canvas is outlined in light grey and marked with a small number that matches a numbered pot of acrylic paint, so there is nothing to draw and no colors to mix. Do I need painting experience?

No. Every area on the canvas has a number that matches a paint pot, so you only fill in shapes. Start with the larger areas and keep the smallest brush for details.

Will the numbers show through?

Light colors can let some printed numbers show. Let the first coat dry, then add a second coat on those areas.

No frame or DIY frame: what's the difference?

No frame: the canvas ships folded, without a frame, ready to frame later. DIY frame: adds four wooden stretcher bars and tacks. Push the corners together, pin the canvas around the frame and hang it with the included hooks.

How long does it take?

It depends on your pace. Plan for several sessions over evenings or weekends; acrylic paint dries quickly in between. Close the pots tightly so the paint stays fresh.

Will the canvas have creases?

The canvas ships folded, so light creases can show at first. They usually relax once the canvas is stretched on a frame, or you can iron the back on low heat with a cloth in between.
