Are batteries included?

No. The corkscrew runs on 4 AA batteries, which go in under the top cap. They are not included in the set.

Which bottles does it work with?

Standard wine bottles closed with a cork. It is not made for screw caps, crown caps or sparkling-wine corks.

How do I use it?

Cut the foil with the foil cutter, set the corkscrew upright on the bottle and press the lower button until the cork is out. Then press the upper button to release the cork from the spiral.

What do the pourer and the stopper do?

The angled pourer sits in the bottle neck for a steadier pour. The vacuum stopper closes an opened bottle so you can keep the rest for another day.

Does it make a good gift?

Yes: the five pieces come together in one box, and the base keeps them together on a counter or bar cart.
