This small electric dehumidifier is made for the places where damp air collects: a bedroom, a wardrobe, a bathroom, a utility room or a spare room of up to about 15 square metres. It pulls moisture out of the air and collects it as water in a removable tank, so the room feels drier and clothes, bedding and shoes stay fresher.

Using it takes a few seconds. Plug it in, press the round power button, and a green light shows it is running. When the tank is full, the yellow full light comes on and the unit switches itself off, so it never overflows while you are out or asleep. Slide the blue tank out by its scooped handle, empty it, slide it back and press the button again.

The compact tower shape is about the size of a large mug rack, light enough to carry from room to room and slim enough to sit on a bedside table, a shelf or the floor of a wardrobe. It draws just 23 W, so it suits being left on for longer spells, and the supplied cable has a UK plug. Keep it upright, leave a little space around the vents, and do not use it outdoors.
