When the first real snowfall hits, this plastic snow sled is ready for the hill. It is a one-piece toboggan-style shell molded from rigid PE plastic, with a raised curved front that rides over snow and a shaped seat hollow so the rider sits low and steady. Small raised grip dots on the floor give boots and gloves something to hold on to.

Two black side handles let the rider hold on while sliding, and a braided pull rope runs along both sides and loops at the front, so an adult can tow a child back up the slope or a rider can steer the front by hand. The smooth underside glides over packed snow, and the shell is light enough, at about 2.9 lb, for a kid to carry to the top of the hill alone. It is a simple, everyday sled for backyards, parks and snowy slopes, and works for kids and adults who fit on the seat.

Choose red, sky blue or bright green. Each sled is a single solid colour with no printed graphics, so it is easy to spot against the white snow. Children should always be supervised while sledding, and the sled should only be used on open, snowy slopes away from roads, water, trees and other hazards.
